The Partners at Veitch Penny are committed to their staff, clients, community and the environment.

We endeavour wish to maintain a pleasant working environment with favourable conditions.

We maintain Lexcel, the Law Society accreditation which gives our Clients reassurance of the best quality and customer service. We strive to be approachable and go the extra mile.

Each year we nominate a charity of the year, staff are encouraged to raise funds individually, departmentally and during working hours which boosts morale and team spirit. Events include; sporting activites eg the Great West Run and the Night Walk. Evening events include cheese wine and beer tasting. Office events have included; branded breakfasts, pancakes, bacon butties and monthly dress down days.

Where possible all office waste is recycled ie. paper, plastic, cardboard, ink cartridges and our confidential waste is shredded by an ethical company. We also minimise our use of electricity where possible.

Veitch Penny is required to comply in a number of ways with the Data Protection Act 1998 (‘the Act’). The first of these is registration under the Act. It is the responsibility of the Designated Data Controller supported by the IT Manager, to ensure that:

• The firm is registered for all necessary activities under the Act;
• There is a process of continual review to determine whether any changes in the firm’s registration are required as a result of changes in the nature of the business;
• The details of the firm as registered are kept up to date;
• New staff members will be trained on induction.
