The Crediton Arts Centre has almost met its fundraising target for its planned major production during the Crediton Festival thanks to lead sponsorship by Veitch Penny solicitors.
Crediton-based Veitch Penny have confirmed their sponsorship of ‘Operation Belinda’, the Arts Centre’s three-night production to be performed in the Town Square during the Crediton Festival in June.
In a break from tradition, the Arts Centre’s main festival performance will involve young performers from the Crediton Youth Theatre and will not be a Shakespeare play. Operation Belinda is an exciting WW2 musical about a military airfield in the Egyptian desert where life is disrupted by the arrival of a concert party.
Veitch Penny Partner, Catherine Rosewell comments: “We have supported the Crediton Arts Centre’s outdoor productions for many years. We are delighted to be extending our support and playing a key role in getting this year’s festival production off the ground.”
“The Arts Centre is a valuable resource for the Crediton community and we feel it is important to contribute to enable its continued success.”
Rosemary Stephenson, Crediton Arts Centre Administrator adds: “We have enjoyed Veitch Penny’s support for many years, both for our Shakespeare productions and as a Business Partner, so it’s great to have them on board for our major festival event. This year’s show is going to be quite different and we are looking forward to a great performance!”
Operation Belinda will be performed in Crediton Town Square on 25, 26, and 27 June at 7.30pm. For more information or for ticket enquiries please contact the Crediton Arts Centre.
