Do you own or live in a mobile home?
Interested in purchasing your park home?
Are you having problems with your site owner or other residents?
The Law regarding mobile homes and caravan parks can be complex. If you are a resident of a mobile home site, park home estate or caravan site, we are able to provide you up to date advice and assistance.
As a mobile home owner you are protected by The Mobile Home Act 1983. The Act gives you rights such as a written Agreement setting out your responsibilities and those of the site owner. There are certain matters the Agreement should contain such as the name and address of the site owner, a description of the ‘pitch’ together with any implied and express terms.
However, if an occupier of a caravan (whether owned by the site owner or the occupier), under a residential contract, has limited protection of their occupation of the caravan or the site!
This Act is only enforceable through the Civil Courts. This means that you must pursue an action yourself – this is where we can help you.
If you are thinking of buying a new home on one of these sites, then we can assist with the purchase and offer you advice regarding future considerations that could later become an issue.
