Jo is a specialist property lawyer who qualified as a Licensed Conveyancer in 2008, having commenced her legal career in 2000 and moving to specialise in property matters in 2003.
She initially joined the firm as a locum to provide support to the Crediton office and has settled in so well with the firm, is now a permanent member of the property department.
Jo has a wealth of experience dealing with all types of residential conveyancing in England and Wales, including sales, purchases, mortgages, transfers, freehold, leasehold, registered, unregistered, new homes, plots and parcels of land, transfers of equity, mortgages/re-mortgages, declarations of trust and general property advice. She has also worked on various commercial conveyancing matters, including sales and purchases of development sites, option agreements, overage deeds, licences, buy-to-let properties, residential conveyancing for corporate clients, leasehold enfranchisement, lease extensions and grants/assignments of commercial leases.
Jo endeavours to maintain high standards, commitment to the role and supporting clients through their property dealings, understanding that each transaction is different and every client is important.
In 2017 Jo also commenced studying in her own time to become a Licensed Probate Practitioner, to broaden her knowledge in the private client sector – to include Wills, Administration of Estates and Probate matters.
